How I use CSS

CSS is where design turns into a working site, and I have written it for every site in this portfolio. Some of my favourite details are pure CSS: the frosted glass at Osler Bluff and Mentor Harbor, Bayview's section titles set with mix-blend-mode: color-burn so they burn into the photograph behind them, and the dark mode at The British Club.

This site's styles are hand-written too: one stylesheet, no framework, with an ink and paper palette that flips section by section through custom properties.
