The brief
Gaumen Freunde sells pasta-making equipment across Europe: dies, machines, tools and ingredients for people who make pasta at home. The shop had to make a technical catalogue feel inviting.
What I did
I was the primary designer and developer at TeamQ, on WordPress, WooCommerce, BeTheme and WPBakery. Search and three buttons, Blog, Recipes and Shop, share the header, the categories are a grid of machine brands and tools, and trust signals sit where shoppers look for them.
The shop ran the whole order cycle inside WordPress. Orders from Amazon, Etsy and eBay came into WooCommerce beside the shop's own, and purchasing, invoicing and fulfilment ran from the same admin, end to end, so the team worked from one place instead of four.
Visual concept
Domine, a sturdy serif with generous curves, sets the headings and gives the shop the warmth of a cookbook. Open Sans takes the text, so product names, prices and delivery terms stay clear in German.
Sage (#b6cd96), leaf green (#71984a), butter yellow (#f5d785) and cream (#fdecd1): the colours of fresh pasta, herbs and flour. Charcoal (#575a54) does the reading, and pasta shapes float in the margins, farfalle and conchiglie, so even the product grid feels like a kitchen.
