What is Figma?
Figma is an interface design tool that runs in the browser, so designers, developers and clients work in the same file at the same time. Components, auto layout and variables keep designs consistent, prototypes make them clickable, and dev mode hands specs to developers.
Since its launch in 2016 it has become the default for product and web design teams.
How I use Figma
At Jonas Club Software I designed in Figma and Photoshop, then built what I designed. The club sites I designed there, including The British Club, The Caledonian Club and Mentor Harbor Yachting Club, came out of that process.
Designing and building the same site is the point: the type pairing, the palette and the motion are decided once, by the person who has to make them work.
