What is Action Scheduler?
Action Scheduler is a job queue for WordPress, maintained by the WooCommerce team. A plugin schedules an action, and the queue runs it in the background, in batches, with a log and retries, instead of making a visitor or editor wait.
WooCommerce uses it for subscriptions and webhooks; any plugin can bundle it. It scales far better than WordPress's own cron for heavy work.
How I use Action Scheduler
I run plugins' long jobs on Action Scheduler, so nobody waits on a page load and a failed step can retry: scheduled checks, bulk AI jobs and deliveries to outside APIs.
