What is Yoast SEO?
Yoast SEO, first released in 2008, handles the technical basics of search for WordPress: title and description templates, XML sitemaps, canonical URLs, breadcrumbs and a schema graph, plus content checks for editors.
It is a solid default. Sites with custom themes can do the same work in code, which is how this portfolio handles it.
How I use Yoast SEO
Yoast is part of my migration work on the domains of acquired companies, where titles, canonicals and redirects had to line up before the old sites went.
