What is WordPress Multisite?
WordPress Multisite runs many sites from one installation: each site has its own content and settings, while users, themes and plugins are shared and updated once. It began as WordPress MU and joined core in WordPress 3.0, in 2010.
It suits organisations with many related sites, such as regional offices, brands or audiences, as long as the sites really belong together.
How I use WordPress Multisite
At Global Preservation Strategies, a London fund manager, I built the company website on WordPress Multisite to serve both its discretionary fund managers and their clients, with Transact, Platform One and Credo Wealth integrated into it.
