What is Bitbucket Pipelines?
Bitbucket Pipelines runs build and deployment steps defined in a YAML file in the repository. Each push starts a pipeline in a container, so compiling assets, running tests and deploying to an environment happen the same way every time.
It removes the riskiest part of a release: the manual step someone forgets.
How I use Bitbucket Pipelines
I use Bitbucket Pipelines for theme builds: the SCSS compiles on every push and one flow goes from staging to production, so changes ship on demand and nobody uploads files by hand.
A pipeline also means every change is reviewed and repeatable, and a bad deploy can be rolled back.
