What is Python?

Python, first released in 1991, is a general-purpose language with a clean syntax and a huge library ecosystem. It is the default for data analysis and machine learning and runs web back ends through frameworks such as Django and Flask.

How I use Python

I studied Python and Django in the Web Programming and Development program at Seneca Polytechnic.

What Python connects to

DjangoA Python web framework with an admin, an ORM and security built in, 'for perfectionists with deadlines'.
JavaScriptThe programming language of the browser. It makes pages interactive, and through Node.js it runs on servers too.
PHPThe server-side language WordPress, WooCommerce and Moodle are written in. It runs on the server and builds each page before it reaches the browser.
